MY EXPERIENCE OF WORKING AT BACKSTAGE OF A COLD WALL AND BELSTAFF

Thanks to London College of Style, I had the chance to work at the backstage of A Cold Wall and Belstaff during the London Fashion Week Mens’. I would love to talk about my experiences and what kind of skills you can gain if you are at the beginning of your career as fashion stylist as myself or if you inspire to be one.

At the backstage, I had the greatest opportunity to see the whole process of backstage from beginning to the end, to the catwalks and presentations. It made me realize many aspects to see what it means to be working as a fashion stylist at the backstage.

For example, I put all the clothes, shoes and accessories on the rails in an order that they have decided before for the day of the show and each of what belongs to the specific model. After having make-up and hair done, I dressed the models by relying on what looks has been set and styled specifically for every single of them.

After all preparations, designer of the brand told us the whole process of creation of the collection. She mentioned about what her inspiration was and how she decided on color variations by the means of mood boards. Lastly, we checked the models’ looks from top to bottom before they hit the catwalk and presentations. It was such a great experience to hear the story of a collection from its own designer.
