VEGAN PHOTO SHOOTING

The second photo shooting as a part of London College of Style curriculum was for the vegan clients. We picked up the clothes according to the vegan clients and their expectations. We were very attentive to the fact that our clients were vegan and our choice of clothes, shoes and accessorizes shouldn't have included any animal product. We planned the photo shooting for the 2017 Spring/Summer collection. We agreed on using the trend bold colors and frills for the looks of the photo shooting.

We are divided into two groups. Each group made their preparations as if they are actually working for specific magazines. My group decided to work for Love Magazine. Therefore, we set the our theme as rebellious, city-dweller, young, joyful and free-spirit.

We created a mood board according to this theme, from make-up to the clothes. I really found it difficult to find vegan clothes. There were barely no choices for vegans in most of the brands. Morever, there were not many clothes that reflect the definition of rebellious, crazy and off the beat.

That’s why I decided to create my own vegan clothes. I adapted a pareo which I purchased from Primark. I have cut it and have a tailor sewed it as a top. I wrote vegan slogans on the underwear that again I purchased from Primark with watercolor paint. The slogans read as: “Love animals. don't kill them”. Lastly, I clung some leaves of lettuce into the big hoop earrings.

I have discovered the creative side of me, creating something from nothing and give it a life and form along with a philosophy behind it.
